A smile costs nothing my friend
If another asks something of you
No matter whether you can or can’t do
First reaction should be your smile
Pure & honest a shine of your soul
Showing you care even if you do not need
Thankful to them for plying their trade
Standing all day in road, street or shopping parade
Day in day out they continue their quest
To make a little money so as to get on with the rest
Imagine the feeling at the end of the day
If you seen no smile, no soul interplay
Would not matter if you sold or not
For all you would feel is how your spirit has dropped
So I say smile for others my friend
Smile in all that you do
Cause a smile costs nothing my friend
Its power pure & true
Go out now and see what it can do
